Sore Eyes

  • When my eyes are are sore, I lie down and place a warm, wet camomile tea bag over my eyes for five to ten minutes. This is what my mother used to do for me from my early chidhood. Actually in those days no tea bags were available. I remember my mother drinking the tea first, filtering the leftovers from the tea pot into a gauze that she would then place on my eyes, encouraging me not to close them!
