Recipes: Beef or Pork in Balsamic Marinade (Serves: 6)

You’ll love the combination of the vinegar and sugar in this marinade. Marinate the day before and dinner will be ready in the few minutes it takes you to grill the meat. Serve with a garden salad with crumbled blue cheese and you have a perfect steak house meal at home. You can also use this marinade to toss red potatoes for roasting or to brush on grilled vegetables.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1kg beef skirt steak or flank steak or pork tenderloin
  • 1 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of Massel Beef Style Concentrate
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • Freshly ground pepper

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large re-sealable bag.
  2. Marinate in refrigerator overnight.
  3. Remove from fridge 30 minutes prior to cooking.
  4. Grill for 2 to 4 minutes per side for medium rare, 4 to 6 minutes per side for medium.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
