Recipes: Prawn and Snow Pea Stir-Fry (Serves: 4)

This Prawn and Snow Pea Stir-Fry is the perfect pick me up to your weekday meals. High on flavour, quick to make and healthy, you won’t mind when your family asks for it over and over again.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup stock; made with 1/2 cup of hot water and 1 tablespoon of Massel Chicken Style Liquid Concentrate
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 200 grams snow peas
  • 1/2 kg medium prawns, shelled and de-veined
  • 4 shallots, thinly sliced
  • Steamed rice, for serving

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch with the stock.
  2. In a large nonstick frypan, heat the vegetable oil until shimmering.
  3. Add the snow peas. Stir-fry until crisp-tender, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add prawns to the frypan and stir-fry for about a minute until they turn red.
  5. Add shallots and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  6. Whisk in the starch and stock mixture before adding to frypan, then add and stir until shrimps are opaque throughout and the sauce is thickened, about a minute longer.
  7. Taste and adjust with some Massel Chicken Style stock powder to suit your taste.
  8. Serve with steamed rice.
