Massel Stock and Gravy.

Recipes: Steamed Salmon Fillets (Serves: 4)

Steamed salmon is a simple, healthy dinner any time of year. Revitalise this classic with the delicious, rich flavour of Massel Concentrated Liquid Stock.

The Recipe


  • 40ml Massel Concentrated Liquid Stock (Vegetable or Chicken-Style)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 Salmon Fillets
  • Chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp butter


  1. Mix Massel concentrate, the juice of ½ lemon and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Set your oven to 160C, and marinate your salmon in mixture for the time your oven takes to get to the desired temperature.
  3. Line an oven tray with baking paper and brush with oil.
  4. Remove salmon from the marinade and place on the oven tray, skin side down.
  5. Reserve marinade.
  6. Bake the fillets for 15-20 minutes, according to thickness.
  7. Remove the tray from the oven to a secure surface, place fillets on their side and remove skin starting from one side and dragging it away to the end. It will come off smoothly and easily.
  8. Divide butter evenly and put on each fillet.
  9. Drizzle with the reserved marinade.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
